kidding me? Helltown shuts out Acid Reflux?????

Acid

their dl pressure stiffled us and could not make necessary adjustments. They deserve #1.

It was a great defensive ball game, defenses played really well, they only had the 3 points from and endzone pass interference call to the 1 yard line and went three and out and kicked the field goal. tough way to lose but great gaem good luck in states helltown!!

we

11/18/10 08:47
Didn`t execute on offense. End of story.

Sounds like..

11/18/10 10:18
The same thing they did to the Bootleggers, bring in ringer DL for the playoffs that weren`t listed on their original roster and had to ask questions about the rules the entire game...

re:

11/18/10 10:19
pretty much...

RE:

11/18/10 10:27
and a new wide receiver!

As long as players

11/18/10 10:38
aren`t jumping around on different teams, it doesnt matter. Besides, any smart coach carries a roster of 22 with a list of anyone who doesnt play on another team and "might" come out which is probably what happened here.

re:

11/18/10 10:38
I imagine a new WR wouldn`t help Hell that much...Their QB can`t throw an accurate ball over 10yds.

^^

11/18/10 10:48
We saw a lot of Helltown this year and never saw the Bootleggers unless the game we played them. Sometimes they had 12 sometimes 20 but your stupid if you don`t think teams bring the house for the playoffs. Always someone who is a sore loser (Bootleggers).

TO: Sounds like..

11/18/10 10:48
All of Helltown`s players are on the roster and have been all year. They were challenged and everyone checked out. Asking about the rules the entire game.....I`ve told you a million times not to exaggerate? How are those sour grapes?

re:

11/18/10 10:54
personally, I dont care if a team brings out "ringers" who dont know the rules. Its not my problem if a team needs to do that to win...

We played a hell of a defensive game but didnt do squat on offense. They didnt bring in any ringers that changed the game. We just never adjusted to the pressure they were bringing and attack the suspect DBs on the field. It wasnt the best time to play our worst offensive game. As in any level of football, DL pressure is key.

Congrats Helltown on winning the Championship! 2 great defensive games in a row & everyone says that D wins `ships

if their ringers were so good, why was it only a 3-0 game in both playoff games. 9-0 at the end of our game, but for the most part 3-0. Helltown is a good team, and theres no reason to start looking for excuses and blaming the roster. Helltown didn`t make many mistakes in the semifinals or finals. They took advantage of mistakes made by the other team and came away with a hard fought win. Helltown and bootleggers both challenged each others roster, and both checked out. end of story there.

to ^^ - your an idiot. the bootleggers are all logged in users. we knew we lost. thats all that can be said. We had helltown at the goal line twice and chose not to kick field goals. Would`ve changed the game. They`re a good team, played hard, and deserved the win.

Does Helltown, Acid Reign, and Shockers plan on going B+ if they have it? I know spring is usually the open format, but other post said people would prefer not. So are you guys going B+ next season.

Big

11/18/10 13:18
Players make big plays in big games...... just saying

Open

11/18/10 13:20
Helltown/Signal will probably play Open in the Spring... it`ll be interesting to see Helltown at the next level. Spring C Championship, Fall B Championship.

I`ve only seen this team play once (as Signal) and i like them. Guys don`t get discouraged by the beatings you may or may not take in the Open league when you face a seasoned A team. Just learn from it. You guys are on the right track.

11/18/10 14:05
Some friendly advice - make the A playoffs somehow and play TC in the semis lol

^

11/18/10 14:15
@#34- is 7pt Spread and Bootleggers the same team? or I`m I wrong because on Monday I swear I seen some of them on the Bootleggers before. Or do you guys have the same sponsors?

OH

11/18/10 14:27
Hell NO!! 7pt Spread is a team that started in A league this past spring season. I don`t even think they played with the Bootleggers.

To "OPEN"- yes Helltown can make some nose in open next season, but in "B" playoffs. Is hard making it to "A" playoffs and pointless when you have to play TC,Wolves, Novacaine and more. Unless Helltown makes a few changes in their team they will do ok in A.

Re: ^

11/18/10 14:43
2 guys that were on Bootleggers last fall went to 7pt in the Spring

Wait...

11/18/10 14:49
Is this the same helltown team that played in B+ in 09 spring and went winless?

re:

11/18/10 14:49
a few Boot guys play in another league with all the guys from 7pt.

11/18/10 14:50
we`re definetly not the same team. I don`t think theres anyone who`s played for the bootleggers on 7pt spread. I think 7pt spread beat us in open last spring. can`t remember. beat us badly i think.

I think over the past 2 years some of the top B teams have improved significantly. If its good enough to play B+ or A we`ll find out over the next year or so. I think the top 4 teams from B will be able to do well in B+. I would rarely recommend a team jumping straight to A over B+. But teams add players and lose players, so open format will help determine that. I know that we already have a couple of guys who will probably join our team next season that can play with anyone.

TO Wait... yes it is the same team however our QB was out of town that entire season and we were able to replace a couple players that left.

I know who your talking about. Our qb and one of our linebackers play with 7pt spread in the alexandria league.

We have 1 guy (Big Tone) that played with them in the Fall 09 season. Another guy (Fru) that used to play with us but moved out of the area also played for them that same season. Brian L and Jeff P (current Boots) played with us in the bark bowl.

has played in every league except A since I`ve been on the team and we have done 6-3 in B+ and 0-9 in Open...so it really just depends on who you can get out and if you can get your guys out consistently.

Thanks 34, everyone who plays with us our "coach" makes sure is on the roster, and the challenge proved that. People travel and have jobs and lives, its flag football so not everyone can make it every week...its not some big conspiracy to bring out "ringers"

step

11/19/10 18:56
it up next season

offense

11/20/10 13:27
Needs some improving. Got shut down in last two weeks

I saw the championships games

11/20/10 13:48
and the the b+ game definetly didnt stick out as much higher competition then b. not as big of a difference between the leagues as people made it out to be.

situation - qb had a good arm, but made a couple bad decisions leading to picks. receivers got open and made catches regularly. defense couldn`t stop the mobile qb.

hokies - qb could move, couldn`t throw a spiral for his life. And i think he uses a childs football. unfortunately for him, his wr`s couldn`t catch a pass either. their d looked good for the most part because they dont miss flags.

i think theres a bigger jump between the A teams and the b+ teams. No difference what so ever between the b+ top teams and the b top teams. difference between A and B/B+ is A has a good offense and defense, the b/b+ teams have one or the other.

are

11/21/10 11:35
you serious...there is a significant jump between b and B+. Helltown would not beat any of the Top for of 5 teams in the B+ division. Thats the facts

they

11/21/10 13:50
sure didn`t show it in the championship game. i guess we`ll find out next season. I think if shockers, acid reign, helltown and even bootleggers will all do fine playing in b+ next season. They should all jump up. Not saying they will run away with it, but they`re definetly on the same playing field. Here some games that show some of these b teams can play with them.

Acid Reign ties Banditos. 7-7 couple of seasons ago.
Bootleggers beat Hokies in the open season. Hokies just won the b+ league?
I will say bootleggers also lost to the Union 7-27.
Helltown use to be good and play in b+, but haven`t done so in a while. If situation couldnt stop hokies qb, they`ll really struggle with helltowns qb.

I`m not saying the b teams will come in a dominate by any means. but they`re going to be able to hold their own, and it wouldn`t surprise me if a team new to b+ plays in the championship game next fall.

Keep in mind....

11/21/10 18:50
.....Helltown plays as Signal in the spring so look at spring 2009. not a great season but they have improved since spring of 2009. BTW, Triple Clown did blow them out!

still

11/21/10 22:21
think they would be around .500 tops
