04/05/12 14:50 | Can someone please watch the deflagging? Is that legal now? Play in B and they call it once in awhile. Not the other night though. |
|
huh
04/05/12 15:34 | whats deflagging? Do you mean flag guarding |
|
Deflagging
04/05/12 15:50 | -Pulling a players flag who does not have the ball. |
|
@ Huh
04/05/12 15:58 | No, what he is talking about is when you pull the flag off of an offensive player if they dont have the ball. If a player is missing a flag, they are down where they catch the ball.
In regards to the game, the wolves were pulling the QB`s flag even after he threw the ball. While the pull/throw was close, I would not consider it deflaggin.
However, during the game there was a play were the refs were confused on where the play should be dead. Showtime`s QB threw the ball to the center (QB had one flag pulled right after he threw it. 6 yards back from the Line of Scrimmage) The center then pitched it back to the QB who was back at the line of scrimmage when he caught it. The play was blown dead and Showtime was moved back to where the QB initially lost his first flag instead back at the line of scrimmage.

^
04/05/12 16:38 | that sounds exactly right. As a rusher, you should always pull the QB`s flag, assuming of course, you are close enough to get the sack. |
|
Yeah
04/05/12 18:06 | But the refs marked the ball where his flag was pulled and not where he first touched the ball. The lake fairfax do a good job but they need to learn the rules |
|
common
04/05/12 21:14 | practice in this league, with all the BS team throwing the double pass |
|
true
04/05/12 21:34 | the new refs are okay, but they need to study up on rule interpretations and consistency. |
|
I BET I KNOW
04/06/12 21:18 | who made that call... Had to be Carton good for making a BS call. |
|
SLASH Greyhounds | |
04/07/12 09:07 | Carlton doesnt even ref lake fairfax on manday its refs from Maryland. They go a good job let you play ball but they dont know the rule book like Carltons crew does but they will soon enough... |
|
smootie
04/09/12 18:55 | they called the game close enough...we just didn`t stop them on the last drive..missed a sack...dropped a pick that they caught for a td...game of inches |
