To the teams that played at EC Lawrence this week:
How was the turf field? Do you wear normal screw-in cleats or go w/ regular shoes? |
|
| molded cleats.. | 2:38 PM |
is probably best, cross trainers will work as well. didn`t try regular shoes. |
|
| Screw Ins | 2:40 PM |
I played with the 3/8 " screws ins for turf and they felt good. |
|
| running or cross trainers work as well | 6:08 PM |

I agree, molded cleats are the best for this field. |

The turf fields at E.C. Lawerence are actually great fields. There is some give, and very tiny rubber pebbles, which allows for about a 1/2 inch of cushion. It`s not like the old Vet Stadium in Philly, which was like playing on concrete.
As stated above, I would advise using molded cleats and/or the cleats you use on a grass field, they will work just about as good. I would recommend these over cross-trainers.

There is a turf field at wakefield but not sure if the games are played on it or grass. Turf fields at poplar are very good and comfortable. |
