MAGS DID play man couldnt guard us tho I remember repeatdly people were beat poor throw due to pressure or wr/qb not being on page. they challenged the qb to make plays, and with host of new guys,and qb man was sucessful good strategy also. Of course we didn`t have Sparton WRs, we only had, me, Chase, Dumbells, Tyson, Joe, Grove and some other older guys, but moving the ball was never a problem.

@bigsho I went through the history and I have played with slash for a number of years. He has 12 titles in this league since 2005 not all coming with him at qb (he only played qb because our normal qb shattered his hand the night before playoffs) he steped in and won 2 playoff games for the ship. So I am pretty sure he knows how to win in this league. My guess is you should use your energy no on the message board but getting your teammates on the same page.

Me and Toney, played a few games with the Broncos and Ray`s team (not sure of the name), but schedules didn`t work cuz we both play in other Sunday morning leagues in addition to church.

But like i said the big difference is the rules. I`ll be honest, I`ll never play in that league again, I don`t mind the down field blocking (I still play in one of those league) but the stiff arms (which really are punches) are a bit much for my frame, lol!!

The comp is definetly not comparable "child please" in my ochocinco voice. The nationals for this is way turned up Metro didn`t even make top 16 to compete they were in the open tornament. live blocking on special teams alone takes the game too another level. And you can stiff arm, body up(hit people)long as you pull flag FCFFL league still good "bump" but two TOTALLY DIFFERANT styles.

@ cody and grov makes a big differance. Everybody thats good here woudldn`t be good half the guys that line up at center and run routes would be ineffective. Thats a big part of this league not knocking it. Plus in contact leagues people run so having a guy blow up the line is plenty effective. Half of these lineman wouldnt stand into block that long, or know how to block a guy thats pure rusher, all these small rushers in the middle would be eliminated yall both know this. Not making excuses for our team at all not saying that makes the other league better just stating facts homie.

D.O I think we are making two different points. The game is different I agree. As a person who loves football I can tell you I`m not the biggest fan of all eligible. I think my point being if I take a guy like yourself or Cody and go to any flag football league in the world, you guys would be effective. Teams in every type of league adjust based on the rules. Were talking about overall top to bottom "talent" and I`m sure it about the same. I`ve been asked many times to play in "full contact leagues" the invite was usually followed with a warning of a busted lip swollen eye etc. Full contact and stiff arms should be accopanird with helmets.

Y`all funny. I play in both contact and non contact leagues and I`ll say that this league has more athletes. Throwing around the word "talented players" can be deceiving. In contact, you can throw a 2 yard bubble screen, cut back and let your linemen pick off the defense and take it to the house. That`s a talented lineman...someone who knows how to engage at the line, release their block and pick up another block at the next level.

Out here, you have to be athletic. You don`t have blocking, you have to make the person in front of you miss. Your linemen out here need to be able to get out of their stance to pick up a speed rusher attacking the edge.

It`s comparing apples to oranges. Bottom line is...can you play ball. I agree with Grove, a true baller will be effective in either league. Love’em or hate’em, the Spartans have their fair share of ballers Would you respect them more if they didn’t talk shyt….maybe. But that doesn’t change how they play on the field. Let’em talk, makes my day at work more interesting.

As for the whole Slash bashing…I just think the situation could’ve been handled differently. I wouldn’t have put the TEAMS business out there for the world to read. You can feel any kind of way you want to feel about his play (you would know better than anyone from another team) but that should’ve been a private conversation. That’s just my opinion.
