@Dumbeells – I agree.
1st Pick - Good selection. This guy is versatile and can play on both sides of the ball. A high football iq and a natural knee bender. Team mates call this guy IHOP because he`s always serving pancakes. The big question for this guy is is he committed? Does he love the game? Is he going to be the first one at your complex and the last one to leave?

2nd Pick - When you think of QBs in FCFFL/IFFL the first name mentioned is always Jeremy Beyersdorf. Poise in the pocket, accuracy, an arm and mobility. Has won with a cast of sub par receivers and a cast of all star receivers. Definitely a guy you build your team around. The first guy in your building and the last to leave. He is the face of your franchise. The guy doesn’t even curse. The big question is can he win outside of Northern VA? |

3rd Pick – Knew this guy wasn’t going to stay on the board long. Former Notre Dame stand out. Offensively, one of the best receivers in the league. Can stretch the field and demands safety help from your corners. Defensively, this guy can play all positions effectively. Another high iq guy. The big question about this is guy because of his work commitments how many games will he be able to attend? Is this too high of a draft pick to gamble on what may be a part time player?

4th Pick – Mike Nunn, another hybrid player that can play every position on the field effectively. Great speed, good hands, covers well, great flag puller. This guy has all the tools needed to be a great flag football player. However, its buyer beware with this guy. Major character issues. Does he want to be rap star, a lifetime movie actor, etc.? Can be a major distraction in the locker room. Not a high football iq guy. Struggles with schemes and concepts. Needs to be on a team that has a solid veteran infrastructure. |

5th Pick – Rob from the Magnums. Interesting choice here. I can tell you that the TC war room was divided on this choice. One group wanted to go with a QB and they were about to hand in their slip for 7 Point’s QB, Andy. Their reasoning for Andy was that “he is very accurate, smart in the pocket, has a championship.” The other side wanted to go with the drafts theme of versatile players that can play multiple positions well. Rob, great locker room presence and can lead a team on day 1. Another versatile player that can play a variety of positions very effectively. This choice definitely came from Mike Nunn’s ties with Rob. A solid selection but not sure I pass on DO on this pick. |

I was out all day myself, but this is a cool idea. I would question D`Ohverated picking up the mountainous blind side tackle first overall, but I`m assuming that he will be playing QB and is looking to protect his back. I`m surprised to see Slash being ignored so far in the draft and I would think whoever does pick him up will be setup at that position. I mean, y`all don`t buy into that Spartan ish they spread around on him do you? I`d look for the Painhounds to make a move on him and send ONA to WR. I like Rob as a player, but I feel like Webster would have been better suited picking up a QB here. The second and third picks were excellent moves by the Robots and 7 point spread.
Best pick so far: Ditos getting Jeremy Beibersdorf. The boy wunderkind not only makes the teenage girls panties wet, but he can really spin it as well. He`s run a spread most of his time in the IFFL, so it`ll be interesting to see how Coach Andy and Dandito decide to tailor their offense to fit his skill set.
Worst pick so far: TC taking Rob Lane from the Magnums. Rob is a really, really good player but as far as drafting for need goes, ToneKid and SecondToNunn productions really whiffed here. You just lost a franchise QB, and you`re going to leave guys like Slash and Andy from 7PS sitting on the board? Gotta get a gunslinger, unless of course MiniMike thinks he`s ready to step up and hurl the rock full time.
Draft Sleeper: Mike Johnson, WR/DL Collision. Whomever takes this kid is a getting an outstanding playmaker on both sides of the ball. He probably has the best first step of all the pass rushers in the IFFL and is always a threat to get to the QB. On the offensive side, great hands and size, plus solid leaping ability make him a big play threat but his route running could definitely be improved upon. |

Good Morning. Already a few 1st rd suprises. Let`s start with 1 overall. DO goes for a top lineman. I like the philosophy of building from the lines and out but not for flag. It`s about speed, ball skills, and flag pulling. DO might have passed on a Q believing he will fill that need, problem is if/when he gets drafted he`s back to needing a QB. I love the Spinner kid--strong, smart, a great motor, and can play the 5 technique in the 3-4--but not at this pick. The bigger headline might be what happens at the next Overton family get together when Overton brother BigSHo `weighs in` on the 1st round slight. Number 2: |
|
| Mike Mayock | 10:15 AM |
Dandito still rueing the day he let Jeremy get away. He gets a second chance here and makes the safe, no-brainer pick. If a franchise QB is available, you gotta take him. There`s not a lot of great Q`s on the board this high. He`s a veteran, proven winner, accurate, clean on and off the field. Probably the curve-setter in school, sitting in the front, asking all the questions. Annoying?...yes, but that`s the guy you want at the helm. He`s in the film room with his nose in the playbook. In the spread, he`s the best. Hasn`t taken many snaps from under center and tends to lock in on his 1st read, but he`s so accurate he compensates with quick throws. He`s Peyton Manning with a better nose. |
|
| Mike Mayock | 10:25 AM |
Cody hits a home run with the Cube pick. Unlimited upside, high football IQ, excels at any position, movie star name. Might have the best hands and goes after the ball better than any player in league history. You sign this kid and leave him alone for the next 10 years. ESPN raised the attendance issue. He`s a parking lot player--the entire team is always looking back to the parking lot to see if he`s comning. It seems alot of outside interests and endorsement conflicts limit his availability but he`s too good to pass up here. Sign him and make damn sure his schedule is clear come playoff time. |

Top A QBs (IMO) *not rating any of my players
1. TC QB - Does more with less, consistently. Knock - Locks in, on tough situations.
2. Novacaine QB - Pure passer. He makes the throws and let`s his WR make the plays. Knock - Telegraphs everything.
3. Bandito QB - Does more with even lesser than TC QB. Knock - nothing, just doesn`t have that 1 true mismatch.
T4. Mags QB - Gives his WRs time to run in circles. Eventually they become wide open. Knock - not a QB, just great scrambler.
T4. Badboys QB - Can make any play you need a QB to make. Knock - haven`t noticed any, team just isn`t consistent
6. 7pt Spread QB - Opposite of TC QB. Has more, needs to do less. Knock - doesn`t do well against good rushes
7. Collision QB - Throws timing routes well, and works the spread offense nicely. Knock - Takes the deep snap, and doesn`t have to arm to make up the extra 12 yards. Telegraphs everything.
8. Penetrators QB - Crafty, solid arm, and veteran. Knock - Not a closer
9. Greyhounds QB - Solid runner, good decision maker, ok arm. Knock - Not a pure QB and has no help to bail him out also. |

| Mike Mayock | 10:40 AM |
I don`t mind the Nunn pick at 4 but I have DO rated higher on my board. I don`t follow the Bell`s logic here: if the Nunn pick is based on number of championships won?..then would Jerry West choose Robert Horry with the 4th overall?...ESPN slams this guy on schemes and discipline, and there`s no doubt a parade of red flags follows this guy everywhere--do you risk the character isssues for the skills reward? He`s definitely got 1st round talent and shoots up the board because he can play QB as well. Still, the rapper/studio chums angle is curious... this isn`t American Idol. The `Most Hated` and rap videos reek of Arena League. He will, however, sell tickets. |
|
| Mike Mayock | 11:01 AM |
I tore up my mock draft sheet after pick 5. There`s always a shocker, but this is a jaw-dropper. Rob as the 5th overall?...bigger head turner than the Christian Ponder pick last night. Looks like a `need` pick rather than a `value` pick. Not sure what the need is here though. Maybe Nunn`s team places a considerable high value on snapping? Don`t discount the importance of `high character` guys, but not in the top 10. Locker room guys can be found in Rds 4 and lower and in free agency. Not a high ceiling but a decent skill set. Speed is average. Versatile and hard worker. A Patriots-type player. Doesn`t look good in drills but looks good with players on the field. Probably could have traded out of this spot, picked up Rob in a later round and stockpiled picks--Holmgren fleeced Atlanta last night who wanted the 6th spot--you might want his number for advice before the TC war room becomes just that--a WAR. |

Pick 5 is questionable because there are more talented players still available. If you read my 1st analysis on the Tyree pick, I disagreed with that pick as well. The comparison of the Tyree pick with the Rob pick is flawed. BOTH players should go later. TDot is the highest rated lineman, but Rob`s not even the highest rated Center on my board--the Kyle kid from TC has way more upside and a higher ceiling...the kid`s younger, faster, and a better LB. And, you still have DO, Mike G. from TC, a couple talented QB`s, and a number of skill players still on the board. The Pens WR--Agent O--hasn`t even been mentioned but could move up if you`re looking for sheer speed and verticality. Al Davis would drool over this guy. |

WR list (excluding me): 1. Chase 2. D.O. 3. Toney - 7pt 4. Joe - Caines 5. Lil Dee - BB
These are the only guys (minus Toney) that when we step on the field, we need to find out WHERE THEY ARE.
Best of the rest: (excluding 7pt and Hounds bias) Banditos - Mens Health Model #2 (Toney called him that at the Bark Bowl, lol) and Dan Pens - #0 and #9 TC - #10, Nunn, Kyle and Vince (though they don`t use him) Caines - #19, #2 Mags - Bobby, Matt, Mike (NFL guy by default) Collision - Quan Ho, Mike Warriors - Santana BB - different set of guys every time we play them Rejects - the 1 tall guy #19 white guy sticks out.

Cody, we have an opening at the Network for an assistant--ground floor but room to grow. I like his WR list. Highlights are one thing, productivity is another. Who do you need to game plan for?....the Top 5 are legit but I`d move Lil Dee out and either Nunn, Pens #0, or Mike G. in. Rejects 19 is a nice sleeper--his health is a question mark so he`s dropped on some boards. Dee is quick but height negates some downfield patterns and redzone plays. He`ll break your ankles in space--as will DO. I like big WR`s so Toney`s a solid top 5--big, fast, gets out of his breaks. Caines Joe (a la Cris Carter) is a scoring machine. |

No problem. I`m almost 2 hrs to quitting time and 5 before I settle back into the Network chair for rds 2&3 tonight. Lets go underappreciated D-Line. The shortlist includes TSpin, Matt-Rejects, Mike-Collision. That`s a start. All are quick off the edge though I prefer Matt going up the middle, with good hand technique, and solid leverage. They get under and around, contain, and pull flags. They all play the 5 or 9 technique, and can drop into coverage if needed. |

@ Cee-lo Like your style, don`t understand your message. At the detractors, point taken on the Spinner. Let`s move him to the middle and see if he can be coached up with flag pulling...remember he`s used to wrapping up and destroying--not finesse flag-pulling. With so mnany teams going to the spread or quick strike offenses, the big beefy D-Linemen are becomning obsolete or ineffective. A big to push the middle is still useful but you need speed on the outside to pursue and contain. Let me throw in the younger Nunn from TC though if you get your hands on him quick he can be neutralized, and the BBoyz end (#27 I think?). Also, the Rejects/Wolves blond kid deserves a mention--he impressed at the comnbine with his 30 reps and work ethic.

I have to research the O-line for a few. Not sure I`ll get to it before quitting time today. And my mn key is sticking...wore out the keyboard today. |

how bout #1 from Collision? He has nasty speed on the edge that sets up his inside moves. |

| Hands down | 11:07 PM |
The top two rushers in this league belong to TC, Urlacher and Nunn. Those two made your top two (Spartans) O linemen look like some ish. Got so bad Tdot had to ask to swich sides b/c he kept getting beat. |

B I T C H Please. Urlacher got pancaked by TDot first play of the game and Will handled Nunns brother. STOP trying to hype your selves up TC. You didn`t have any sacks that game. Zip zero |

@Mike Mayock...I like the way you think with these posts. And to the jack a$$ who said I can`t rush...can you block me? |
|
| Teacher | 09:20 AM |
Tdot: He might not be able to block you but until you learn to pull flags your rush is worthless in THIS league. Get over yourself and leran to play FLAG football or take your ass back to tackle. |
|
| @ Teacher | 09:57 AM |
I`ve seen MeatSpin pull flags...I don`t know what you guys are talking about. |

You can lead a horse to water but you can`t make hime drink. I am sorry you are so blind that you are unwilling to learn. Enjoy the many losses still to come until you accept this is not tackle football and your brute strenght means nothing. |
