05/05 : Bootleggers dismiss Degenerates 21-6

Bootleggers improve to 5-2 on the season, while Degenerates drop to 3-5.

The victory gets Bootleggers back on the winning track after a loss in their last game.

The loss comes on the heels of a Degenerates victory in their last game. This is the fewest points scored in a game this season by Degenerates.

This was the first meeting between these two teams.

Next up for Degenerates is MAC Daddies (5-1). That game is scheduled for May 11 2011, 21:00 at Lake Fairfax#1.

Bootleggers will face off against X-RATED (5-1) on May 10 2011, 20:00 at Poplar Tree #2.

It was certainly was a good physical game on both sides of the ball last night. We had a few breaks go our way, as always it could have really gone either way.

Sorry about the little “bald guy” (aka Mega Mind)…not sure what got into him. He usually saves that type of talk for me :P

Relax, your not going to do anything anyways #42. We have no play makers on offense and #3 isnt even our QB. Degenerates will be a 1 and done team this season. I am not running it again. I put the team together to bring friends together to have fun but no fun when you are losing. We should have played in C to have fun but we are sucking in B. Good luck the rest of the season.

It was a heated comment that probably should have been worded differently. You guys aren`t doing too bad for your 1st year, maybe C would have been better since this is the strongest competition I`ve seen in B for a while. Nothing personal, shook the guys hand & wished him good luck next week after the game. Funny thing was his "you suck" comment. Not sure how long he`s been with NTAC/PKL but I`m 2-0 against his teams now. My 1st game in NoVa (IFFL) I picked off their starting QB so they switched. Picked that QB off in the endzone so they went to a third one. I`m getting slower with each year but if I suck, I wonder what that makes him?

We`ve played them and I think he`s the WR in his 50`s (slow as sh!+). He`s the worst WRif not player in the B division. He`d have a hard time being a #1 in C. Not sure why they have him on the team??

A few of us on the team have played flag before for a few years. Not sure when we played you before but seems you have a good memory. We did play 1 season in FFF and could barely field a team so thats what you might be referring to. He is still not our QB lol. I think he was referring the "you suck" comment as a joke cause you were telling him you were going to kill him. He was joking on the sideline after the game. Anyways good luck.

if Miller on Degenerates thinks that his team sucks...I wonder what he thinks of the Shockers.

Shockers aren`t that bad. I think they`ll get a win before the year is out. Most of their losses have been close games. I think at this point some of the records are more a result of strength of schedule then how good a team is. I dont think XRated is much better then the Bulldogs or Shockers but they`ve had the benefit of an easier schedule so far.

Macdaddies will win the regular season. they lost to Outcast , but that OC has a tie and that will hold them back. I don`t see X- Rated making much noise with their QB out and HellTown is picking up players and momentum. Boots could surprise some people.

Bootleggers aren`t good plain and simple. Its all good miller you all should bring union back and whoop up on them like last time you all played.

Haha there is rumor Union may be coming back next season revamped and all. Shockers team has very good potential just need to pull flags better, especially when I take one to the house, I am a big boy lol. Yes I think my team stinks. We dont have really any play makers at WR that can take one to the house, half the people never played flag before so yes I think we suck. Bootleggers are pretty good I think. They just run a few plays I feel like though that work real well. Play 1. Have trips one side and then let the fast lineman/WR run to the other side of trips on an out and let him make a move. Their QB is good at placing the ball (he floats it to let the receivers get under it) and let them make the catch. On defense if you can stop their black defense lineman with glasses you should be good to go. He tries to swim alot but he is pretty good. I do think though bootleggers are a pretty good team though. Outcast though is still my team that will take the championship as I said 4 or 5 weeks ago.

MacDaddies,Bootleggers,Helltown and Outcast. I would say X-Rated , but without a QB- we have to see how they come together these last few games.

I would say this year there aren`t any team ready to make the jump to the A league, maybe the b+ in the fall. If they were in the A, they`d probably be having a Kdaw/Greyhounds type season.

I am pretty sure he does not roll like that , but you seem to have a very detailed idea of what to do. So when are you coming out of the closet ?

Anywas here ya go:

I will go in order of rankings for the first few teams. This is my perception from when we played the teams (except MAC Daddies).

1-MAC Daddies (5-1)
I havent faced MAC Daddies yet but I watched a few minutes of their last game against Acid Reign. Their QB has a pretty good arm hit a skinny post to some white WR and he took it to the house. They have some good players on their team but cant say yes or no quite yet till I play against them.

2-Outcast (6-1-1)
Their QB understands how to step up into the pocket and avoid the rush. (Most good flag QBs understand how important this is). Their defense rush is pretty good especially the two black guys. One dude is strong as an ox and the other one is really quick but pretty powerful. I think key to moving up into A is have a good line both offense and defense. Their offense line is pretty good, center is a nice guy little susceptible to quick rush though. Tackles are pretty good. WR are pretty athletic. Can they play in A: Yes.

3-X-RATED (5-1)
Oldman QB still has a good arm although gets mad at himself when he misses a pass which is pretty funny. Releases the ball real quick knows where his receivers are. Lines on both sides weren’t too impressed with. Just quick guys on d-line but if you hand arm them they stop. When we played them they had two lucky passes that went for TDs, one tipped pass (almost an INT) that dude caught and took to house. Other one our CB barley missed the ball on the interception again. Get a good rush on their line you can beat them. I think they rotated a ton of guys on their d-line. Can they play in A: No

4-Bootleggers (5-2)
As I said before QB is good can place ball and knows the game. WR/Lineman guy is deceptively fast. Other WRs had case of the drops. 1 pretty good guy that could rush. Like the long ball, safeties should not get beat deep no matter what but it happened to us. Can they play in A: Not yet few additions needed

5-Helltown Rosebu (4-3)
Gimmick offense, try to run reverses and crap like that. QB is athletic as hell though. Needs to run more. He needs to stop pretending his is a pocket passer. Run more that will make it easier for you passes. Offensive line not impressive at all. D-line, one white guy that sprints full speed into you pretty good, black guy that wore football pants that had pads built in came pretty hard also. We had them beat until some BS pass interference call: Can they play in A: No

Over all the only 2 teams that could move up to A and play alright would be Outcast and Mac Daddies. Bootleggers could make it with one or two more additions. Good luck everyone the rest of the season and in playoffs. Stay healthy.
