Shit is getting WAY too personal on the boards today, and with the College HOF announcements coming out today, it got me thinking. If we were to start an FCFFL/IFFL HOF, who would you put into the inaugural class? Here are my requirements for induction:

1) No more than 1 person at any position per year
2) Minimum of 4 seasons (2 full years) in the league. Can combine FCFFL and IFFL seasons, tourneys don`t count.
3) Argue your case, don`t just give me names without backing it up

My first pick?

QB - Slash - Easily one of the most accomplished players in the league. Tons of hardware at the local, state and national level. The man has been getting it done for years. I don`t feel like counting his trophies, but he`s got enough to make everyone in this league jealous.

Just to clarify, tourneys don`t count for the required number of season, not accomplishments.

Sef #81 Lazy Sundae - In his prime, Sef was one of the best I`ve ever seen play in this league. A game changer on both sides of the ball. Some of the most amazing plays I`ve seen in this league were by this guys. Some crazy battles back in the Rhinos/Lazy Sundae hey days.

@W1LL - You`ll have to give me a better argument for Dre. Mucho talent, but what hardware does he have?

Guy name Mike R from the Rhinos. Not sure if he even plays with them still. Been around forever, never looking at him would you think he`s a football player in anyway. Use to be there QB back in the day. Got them there first A title, played LB for them to. Just did all the small things that you would ask for from a teammate. Also was one hell of a flag puller. My votes nothing flashy but was a good solid player.

Interesting pick with Mike R. He still plays btw, and has played a few games at QB this year. May have hurt himself by `hanging on` too long though.

Hasn`t he won a ship? I could be wrong and if so I retract and will go with his talent, knowledge of the game, ability to cover dudes twice his size. Thats some Spud Webb ish right there...

Maybe a `B` title, but I think the only hardware he has is the Bark Bowl last summer with TC.

Wow still played some QB interesting. He may of hurt himself, but it don`t take away from what he did. But I understand at the same time to Swami. I picked him cus it`s players like him that get overlooked, and I knew everybody would be taking The Slashe`s and Tysons and so on. So wanted to let one of the unheralded ones get alittle respect.

Also i will go with the big lineman on My Plumber and play with Lazy some too...His name was Chuck was a beast on the line and a threat with the lineman release. He always wore the Zach Thomas Dolphins jersey when he played with Lazy

Learned most of my flag football knowledge from Mike Rickard and some older cats from the Rhinos. Probably my favorite Rhino of all time. He`s still playing with the Rhinos. D.O. is a big fan of Mike. He wanted Mike to be on our Spartan roster. We just had to many people. Imagine that. LOL The best flag puller I`ve ever played with.

@Nothing flashy - Hey, I think it`s a good pick. He might have to get in through the veteran`s committee but deserving none the less.

What`s everyone think of Spalding? I feel like he might be another under appreciated vet that`s been doing it for a long time. Don`t know if he`s the sexy pick, but I kind of feel like he might another vet committee guy.

I`ll throw out a younger name. Rob from Mags, has several weeknight ships, a state B title and has been putting in great work on both sides of the ball for a while now.

Swami great pick with Rob, truthfully not many current players have it like the older vets did. I truly believe that. I think there`s a lot of one or two years wonders and that`s it. But I believe Rob is on the level of one to be remembered. And I`m am voting for Loc`s he`s been in the flag game a long time and has what 3 or 4 A titles and Bark Bowl and SS ones under his belt also.

@LOCS - LOL, don`t hate on the youngins.

How about coaches? Mack and Spalding are both solid candidates as player coaches, but since we`ve got mad Rhino love going on in here, I think Chris Baker`s resume is worthy of discussion.

@Nothing flashy - I agree, Locs is definitely HOF worthy. The only thing the man is missing is a State title. I kinda think he`s going the Karl Malone route, trying to catch on with a younger contender at the end of his career to try and get that elusive ring.

Gotta throw in Terry--old My Plumber QB. A Bunch of ships though the comp is way better now. He stood 15 yds behind center, never moved, and threw lasers. Ty`s a great pick...dude still looks like he did when he started with NOVAs. Maybe throw in Mike--OL now on Lazy. Can throw, catch, block, and he`s a good guy.

I love the Rickard pick! As Jock said, he may not be the best athlete, but he is the smartest flag player I have seen in my 15 years of running the Rhinos.

Mack (who is a more athltic version of Rickard) and Ty are still playing with us and Spaulding is playing with the Pens. Although they are no longer in the league, Natoli, Josh (Kicker), and D-Rob are solid nominations as well.

Forgive my Rhinos bias, but I would be remiss if I did not also nominate Greg F, who also coaches/plays for the Rejects, and Matt W, pass rusher for Rejects/Bad Boyz/Rhinos.

Of course Baker would go in as a first ballot coach. Learned everything about the league from Baker. He bought into this league. However, the other week when he had to play he kept coming back to the huddle saying, "I can beat this guy on a quick 5 yarder!" So he could potentially end up in as player. His playing days aren`t behind him yet. LOL

No State title best was a 2nd an 3rd place finish bit by the Gunz both times

Hey Slash that`s probably better 99.9% than what most can say in this league.

Old Skool, great pick with Big Mike W from Lazy. Back in the day he played QB for Boozehounds, and can still work the double pass as well as any O linemen. He played with us in a few tourneys, but I could never drag him away from Lazy on a full time basis.

Although he may be the most controversial Rhino in our history (OK, maybe tied with DO), I back the Locs nomination as well. Although it may not have been the best thing for us, he and Jeremy changed the face of the league when they started Triple Crown.

Locs tell Rickard I appericate him for his one horrible season with us. I still to this day feel bad about that horrible experience for him.

Greg F might be too young, still has some prime years ahead of him. Matt rusher might get in--he shoulda been on the SEAL 6 team. Beast. Rhinos coach is playing? LOL on the 5 yarder reset!!! Thats what makes the vets great and HOF worthy--its all about HEART baby!

As a vet in the league, some of the picks are right on point. However, the competition has changed a lot since NOVA and My Plumber seasons. We saw it first hand when Sharks try to return last season. Chuck should be up there as number #1 but is I like to throw Jeremy in there also with two weeknight ships and two IFFL ships. A lot has changed since 2004.

^^^^ in all fairness that wasnt the same ol "Sharks" team last year we had maybe 8 new guys on that team. Most of our players decided to hang them up after the State and Nats run the previous year...

Mini McNabb from the Pens

As another vet in this league, you have to put Carlin(QB) from Rejects/Deitze. He won a couple of Sunday titles with Deitze, got the Rejects to the title game last year, and has 4 or 5 A League titles from full contact days.

I can agree with Carlin (JC). I used to play with him back in the day on B$ and the boys.

Who coached the Sharks and the Novas back in the day when they were good? Both those teams were well organized whoever ran those teams did just as good as job as the Rhinos and Plumber teams.

When I first came into the league, I never seen an Oline guy took it to the house with a 1 yard pass and run the whole football field burning the whole Diesel team on weeknights back in Fall 2008 lol. If I am not mistaken, he might have played on Rhinos at one point too?

1) He looks like he can run his forty in a flat 3.0 seconds
2) He looks older than my decease grandpa
3) He plays Oline at the time.

Hrm...catching up on the nominations:

Cube - will probably be a HOF candidate at some point, but my strikes against him are:
1) Doesn`t make enough games, you never know if the cat will be in town or not.
2) No real hardware. Yeah, the `caines have a B trophy, but unless he was with the Pitbulls when they got their 2009 Fall A ship on Sundays, that`s all he`s got.

Hollywood - I like ONA, but again, no hardware to speak of, as a DB he`s good, but as a QB he`s just not that guy. He`s a great runner, but in all honesty, he`s just not a great QB.

D.O. - Already addressed this one. He`ll get there someday, but he needs to win something in this league. Do I think he`s an outstanding athlete? Hell yes. Hall of Famer? Not yet.

W1LL - I`m going to assume you weren`t serious with this one.

CJ - Hollywood, read the rules, you have to make an argument for your candidates.

Mini-McNabb - (what a crappy nickname btw) Not yet. B State title is nice, but he`s going to have win some local A titles first.

What about refs? There`s one guy, I think his name is Ralph, who used to play for the Red Dogs way back in the day.

Gotta back track on Cube just a bit. Looked at the Pitbulls fall 09 pictures and he`s clearly playing for them there. I dunno, I`m still straddling the fence with him. I need to see more years from him. Plenty of great athletes have come and gone in these leagues, I want to see longevity.

Slash was the qb. Him and cube dominated the league that year.

Actually, 09 Pits had two very close games in the final 4 and championship. They came from a few TDs behind to beat Lazy to get to the championship and beat Bad Boyz (who had beaten the Rhinos) in the finals. I also think Wolves, not Pits, were the #1 seed going into the playoffs.

Yup. Might have been one of the most dominating teams ever assembled. Think about the talent on that team that year:

QB - Chuck
WR - Cube
WR - Tyson
WR - Nunn
C - Chris Mack
OL - Doug and Ty Nunn

I think their fourth WR was Luke, who`s probably a 1 or 2 on a lot of other teams.

But I have to say Ty in not a "dominating" force on either side of the ball.

Maybe not dominating, but he can be a difference maker.

Based on numbers alone, Jeremy is in. In addition, by starting TC, he and Jock had a huge impact on the look and feel of the league.

Yes, Locs was/is a very good pass rusher. Even if he doesnot always get the sack, his strong rush up the middle enables our outside rushers to have a much easier time getting to the QB. In addtion, he knocks down a lot of balls, as he is very hard to throw over.

TC has great blockers Jeremy played with the wolves and was always on the run. He will tell you that. His best blocker plays WR. When he brings him in the back field Ive seen him knock guys out. The big guy is good too you have to try and beat him with speed if he gets his hands on you your done.
