New to the league and curious what the rule is on wearing a towel either tucked into shorts or looped through flag belt?

It is Legal to have a towel. But if its tucked in, then it acts as a flag. It falls off and you`re down

best bet is ask the ref they all have different rules on towels. some never let the qb have one

you can have a towel ,but it must be on the ground or tucked away at the time of the snap. The towel cannot be worn hangin out as it could impede on the pulling of a flag or cause interference. Yes, even though it is usually worn on the front ot back of a player.

Flag may not be _worn_ but may be carried and placed with the yard stick in the nuetral zone.

Generally, anything which interferes with access to pulling the flag cleanly is considered illegal equipment. I see towels in the front tucked in when its raining, and officials can determine whether or not they are causing interference (like playbooks in some cases).

Its a good idea NOT to equip playbooks and towels - because if they are not secured and do interfere you`ll get the penalty.
