9- Kdaw Warriors- Had a tough first season in A league in the spring so unless they like losing, I am not sure why they decided to come back for another round. Was hoping to see defending B champs move on up, but whatever, gotta play vs who they put out there. If they want to survive this season the QB will need to learn to throw the ball more and run less. First up are the Hounds who are also on the lower end of the rankings so they have a favorable matchup to start things off.

8- Greyhounds- The news of Slash retiring was hard for this team. They are in desperate need of a quality QB, and although Hollywood will win some games, he is not who they need to make it to the promise land. Another mediocre season awaits these guys, but starting off the season vs the Warriors is a good chance for them to get a mark in that W column...one of the few they will have all season.

7- Penetrators- This team may surprise a few this season, but until they win a few big games they are stuck down here. Coming into the spring season they were predicted to do well and fell flat because of injuries or attendance issues so this season hopefully they have everything in order so they can have a good season to build on for the future. Wolves are coming at them in week 1 so they have a tough first draw and need to come out swinging if they want some respect.

6- Banditos- Had a very good A league debut in the spring with only a couple of losses and were the surprise team of the year, so to end up at 7 may be hard for them to take..or motivate them. Whatever the case, this season they will once again have a shot to surprise people as they gun for the top spot. Some say they have the best QB in the league...add that to the fact they are well disciplined and have been playing together for a while gives them a good shot at having another successful season. First game for them is vs the defending 2 time champs, 7pt Spread, so if they want to make a statement this is their chance.

5- Novacaine- Not heard much from these guys since the spring so I doubt they made any changes to this solid group of football players. To me that means same ol NOVA team that we are used to; a hard playing team that will bring it each game. They will beat some good teams and struggle with weaker teams, but in the end you can expect them to make the playoffs. BBz are up first for the Caines in what should be a good first game to watch.


4- BadBoyz- Coming off a strong summer league and a decent showing in the bark bowl, I think these guys are going to do well this season. If they can manage to beat a few of the top teams and earn that respect they have been trying to get for a while they could be the surprise team of the season. Their unorthodox offense still causes confusion for most teams out there and are able to put up points on a regular basis while they struggle to stop others from scoring. If they are able to step it up on defense they should be able to walk out with a W week 1 vs NOVA.

3- Wolves- Bringing it back for the fall season and with a healthy team for the first time in a while they should be considered pretty dangerous out the gate. I am interested to see if they are able to stay healthy and consistent this fall so they can contend for the title, if not, they will be the biggest disappointment of the season. They see the Pens in week 1 in what could be a game that goes either way.

2- Triple Crown- The A powerhouse is still viable threat at any time on both sides of the ball. They added some new players and lost a few over the last few months but with Jeremy at the helm they will still be a top team throughout the season. They also get the Pens in their opener so look for them to get off to the typical fast start this season.

1- 7pt Spread- Back 2 back championships make them the easy preseason favorite, but the mighty must fall sometime. Has there been a 3 peat in A before?? Not sure but if they have the same crew back you can expect another solid season and for them to make a run for a 3rd title in just 4 seasons as a team. First up for the challenge of dethroning the champs are the Robots. These two teams did not face each other in the spring and the only time they have met is in the Bark Bowl a year ago so it means nothing.

Even though Spring weeknight was weak until Spring 08, the more impressive stat is that the Sharks were in 8 straight championship games (Fall 2004 - Fall 2008), losing only 2 (Fall 06 to CCR & Fall 08 to TC)

reminds me alot of the sharks. they get after the QB and play very good D. The O is very talented as well. It all starts upfront on both sides of the ball.

I think once Novacain, 7pt, Triple Crown, Wolves, Badboyz, and Banditos retire is going to weaken the league a lot

I don`t know how anyone could think that 7pt QB is average. He has a trunk full of championships not only in this league but in at least 2 others that I know of. If he`s average, he sure knows how to pick the right teams to play on...

All I know that the 7pt Spread QB has two championships under his belt more than AL Bundy and he got it all in just four season. How long has Al Bundy team been around?

7pt qb tried out for B team and didnt make it and he turned out ok, so dont hate on the booty qb. booty gonna take b league this season.

Novacaine adding DO is a huge pickup. In the past you had to try and bracket Chase and if you did successfully then you really only had Joe as a 2nd option who could beat you. But now with DO it`s going to spread a lot of defenses thin. Teams really are going to need to get a lot of pressure on that QB to have any chance of slowing down that offense.

The analysis by "Official Power Ranker" is pretty lazy. No talk of any of the Spartans or Magnums players who have been picked up by other teams. Adding some of the players from either team can make a huge difference.

Rob and others from Mags join TC a few others move to 7. DO, Locs and the rest of sparta are of no impact.
