     Ranking

According to the stated rules, "Teams are ranked first by winning percentage, then head to head to break ties. The standings on this site auto-update when scores are entered based on percentage and then point differential." So, correct me if I`m wrong, if Team A and B have NOT played and have the following records and point differential:

A: 2-3-0 PD 10.0 Win%: 0.4
B: 2-2-1 PD 5.0 Win%: 0.4

Team A would be ranked higher despite having more losses. Am I interpreting the rules correctly?

I forgot to include the verbage about a head-to-head tie:

"Head to head is the first determiner. The team who won the head to head match-up is ranked ahead of the team that lost.

If the tied teams did not play, or the teams tied their game, overall point differential for the season is used to rank those teams.

OK, so I answered my own question - I believe ties are scored as 1/2 W and 1/2 loss, making the win % as follows:

A: 2-3-0 PD 10.0 Win%: 2/5 = 0.4
B: 2-2-1 PD 5.0 Win%: 2.5/5 = 0.5

Thus, ranking B above A.

Sorry for the confusion.

Team A would be ranked higher but this would only be for regular season for point differential. Rankings for playoff spots, if tied, go by head to head first

correct

And win/loss% is the FIRST ranking instrument, then head-to-head in the games played between the tied teams, then pt diff in those games, then pt diff over the course of a season.

Also, the standings page does not take head-to-head into account when ranking teams, that is done manually for final regular season standings.
