10/12 : Bootleggers defeat WEAPON XR 21-13

Bootleggers improve to 6-1 in the late stretch of the season, while WEAPON XR drops to 3-1-1.

The victory continues a 3 game winning streak for Bootleggers which now stands at 4 wins in a row.

The loss ends a 2 game winning streak for WEAPON XR.

These teams had played each other twice prior to this matchup. Bootleggers won both of those games. Their most recent matchup was May 10 2011, 20:00, a Fairfax County Flag Football League "B" regular season game which Bootleggers won 14-0.

Next up for Bootleggers is Acid Reign (3-1-1). That game is scheduled for Oct 18 2011, 20:00 at Braddock Park#7.

WEAPON XR will face off against Outcast (3-2) on Oct 13 2011, 20:00 at Braddock Park#7.

WXR and Boots both score on their first drive (Voots kick for 1 and XR converts for 1). Late first half, XR punts and Boots return for TD.

Second half Boots score on long drive. Late pick off WR`s hands gave XR a shot at the end but the didn`t get it done.

Pretty physical game. Both teams line were battling all game. It just seemed the Boots were superior on both sides of the line up front.

Look like a whole new team. They seem to have lost a lot of their best and worst players. The definately upgraded the WR`s. What happened to the little balled guy who always ran his mouth? Missed seeing him piss off his whole team!

Greyhounds will beat yall. You aint even that good playa. All you do is toss the ball up and pray for your WR`s to catch that rock so i wouldn`t be so sure you can beat a team that has played A for awhile. I dont see you beating any of the teams in A right now. Even the ones that have not won a game.

"Doubt it" should check our record from the open season before they say that. We`re not trash talkers, so don`t try to drag us into a smack talking match. We`re working on getting better and moving-up. We have lost several of impact players from last season.

BTW, good game last night XR. You fella`s always bring it and make it a fun physical game.

whatver, this is all hypothetical anyways. A couple of seasons ago in open, we actually beat some current A teams, and our team wasn`t even good, and I was a new QB. So think what you want, but A isn`t some magical higher level that is just inherently better than everyone else. Reality is that we could compete in A just fine. In order to actually be a top A team, we would probably need to get more experience across the board because we have a bunch of young players, and solidify a few weaknesses.

if they find a legit qb they could compete at the bottom,they have a"C" level qb now and a B minus secondary

Guy`s just trolling the boards for reaction. F-that BS! Played against the Booties many times and have nothing but respect for them. They have as many holes as any other team in this league, but play good clean football. Never heard them complaining to refs like the poster above stated.
