Playoffs will be:

top 4 from each B & C division

top 8 from A

(8 teams in each playoffs bracket: A, B & C)

for B and C - are the brackets going to be mixed or seperated by division? for example:

(divison) 1v4 nat, 2v3 nat, 1v4 amer, 2v3 amer with american and national winners meeting in final

(mixed) 8 teams (top 4 nat, top 4 amer) ranked 1-8, then 1v8, 2v7, 3v6, 4v5

"Teams will play 8 regular season games followed by playoffs for the top 60% of teams in the division."

60% means 6 teams from A would make the playoffs with the 1 & 2 seeds getting a bye the first round. This would be better as well because it make the regular season mean more.

True, it would - but there are a few reasons A is 8...including the potential layover (too long) between game 8 and first playoff game. I can`t/couldn`t assume anything about the final standings.

This season it will still mean something to make the top 8, could be tight to the end, and at the top...once again, I can`t assume a team(s) playing their last game on 10/31 will finish 1 & 2, while team(s) playing their last game on 10/24 (and then with a bye a playoff game 2 - 2.5 weeks later) will not.

When did we start doing only 8 game season`s. In the past it`s been 9 games. So many teams are locked up and that 9th game will have a huge impact for so many teams just coming together. Tom are we playing 8 or 9 games this year?

Its posted in the reg info, and its because I also lowered the team fee by 10%. We`ll vote on it at the coaches meeting next summer (go back to 9 guaranteed for 10% more in league fees or stay at 8 guaranteed).

That math is off. Out of 37 teams, 25 make the playoffs, 12 do not. So only a third or so do not make the playoffs - but that 60% "who will make the playoffs" was also posted....in the registration info.

BA1 vs BN4
BA3 vs BN2

BN1 vs BA4

I think you need to stick to what was in the Registration info it is not right that 8 teams from A make the play offs. Because that hurts B and C league now some DIV are stacked with better teams. The registration is what we all singed so it has 60% make the playoffs then that is what the playoffs should be. If we are going to change the Registration then lets start changing the rules. Also if a team has 2 - 2.5 weeks off that might help a team if the have a hurt player.

60% is 60%. Its too late to worry that your team might not make playoffs for a ninth game. Just Win! And you dont have to worry. And the roster is set at 22 players & its eight on eight so you can have 2 2/3 of team ready to go for your playoff game.

^^^ How does 8 A teams making the playoffs hurt B and C? Also 4 out of 7 teams making the playoffs = 57% of teams make the playoffs in B and C. That`s pretty damn close to 60%

it hurts B and C because A gets to have more teams make the playoffs.. If you are going to have it that way then more teams in B and C should make the playoffs. We all got the Registration info so that we singed so you know the rules with the play offs. There is no need to change anything go by what the league put in just like we all go by the rules they have the league needs to do the same to be far to everyone.

well technically each A, B and C have 8 teams making the playoffs. It just happens that A has fewer teams. B and C have the league stated 60%. Unless you are in A, this has no affect on your life, unless you are jealous that the 8th place A league team makes the playoffs and your low ranked B/C team doesn`t. So stop being jealous, and win more games.

U R in B right??? that is what I thought. Moving on now, what I am saying is I do not care ABC what. The league/TOM needs to stick with what is on paper (Registration states 60% then it should be 60% no matter how many teams are in A B or C if you are going to let A do some thing then it should go down to B an C to make if far. We all pay the same amount of money the last time i checked. I would be mad if I was in B or C and saw a 8th place team got to play in the playoffs you go by what is on the paper if next season Tom wants to change it or put something in about not having enough teams then so be it but now you should go with what is has on the registration.

and do you play in A?...if so, then you play for the hounds, cause if you didn`t play for them, then you wouldn`t care about this since they are on the outside looking in. So, you just outted yourself as a chump-a$$ C player. Bottom line, win your games...if it really comes down to 1 game, its your team`s fault.

Look tard, the 8th place team in EVERY division makes the playoffs. If you can`t figure that out, then you may need to go back to elementary school.

BootQB`s got it right. Play to win. Win and you`ll get to the playoffs. One team was moved from A to B to balance out some divisions. Its not like 4-5 teams got moved into B, to stack a division. I think Outcast was the only team that tried to play A and got moved.

Your just really mad your team isnt going to make B playoffs and so your tryin to pull some other teams out too.

I am saying the league and Tom are opening themself up with changing a writen contract that you or your coach signed when the team was entered. The leagues wants you to follow the contract and the rules they to should follow the it.

for real? Seriously, just win more games. Tom had to change the divisions at the beginning of the season since B+ didn`t fill up. You wanna nail him for that too ?

If I were "Not that at all", I just wouldn`t sign up any more. I would be way too mad to ever sign up for this league again. I would take my money and go complain to another league. I`d hire a lawyer and prepare a claim against the league, the coaches who allowed this, and all the players who allowed their coaches to allow this. After all that I would just tell everyone "It`s the principal of the matter!"

Thank you for that maybe next season the league should just put a cap on the number of teams in ABC then when you hit that number you stop. But the way it looks the league just wants money and can change it so they make the most money. real easy for the league money is due on this date period and also go by the contract that the league made up 60% make the playoffs that is it.

We do cap the league at 40 teams - didn`t get 40. I have stated over and over and over (before the season) we were capping - so don`t throw the tired "they only want your money" accusation out there.

You are also confusing rules with policy. Policies serve as guidelines. If I allow 8 teams into the A playoffs for reason specific to the situation for that division, it does not mean the same situation applies to other divisions.

This is the end of this discussion. No teams have been eliminated from the playoffs in any division yet, so I don`t even know why we are having this discussion...

No matter how the divisions were split, how many games, league fee - someone will be unhappy. You can`t please everyone, but I do try to be as fair an impartial as possible.

If your team (or any other team) is unhappy with the way the league is run you can opt out and I will give you a pro-rated refund on team fee#2 commensurate with the number of games your team has already played - just shoot me an email.

Actually, over 60% of the teams make the playoffs. If 25 out of 37 teams make it in, then that`s 67%. And there was a cap this year of 40 teams, which clearly didn`t get reached.
