The loss ended a 4 game winning streak for Triple Crown. .These teams are very familiar with one another, having now played 6 times. Their previous contest occured in a Fairfax County Flag Football League "A" regular season game Oct 13 2011, 21:00, which Triple Crown won 13-10. Overall, Triple Crown is 4-2 against Wolves.

This was an awesome game to watch - clearly the two best teams in the A league, both at the top of their game. There were very few mistakes: one INT (coverage was perfect), and just a couple of dropped balls. Both defenses played exceptionally well, and the offenses has to earn every single yard gained. I might be wrong, but I don`t think the Wolves registered a single sack which might be a first.

The offensive PI penalty on TC towards the end of the game was a very tough break for TC, but the officials had a clear line of site on the play. Nonetheless, the Wolves still had to march 80 yards and score a touchdown with less than two minutes to play to win it.

TC still almost managed to put themselves in a position to tie the game, moving the ball to the Wolves 40 with 13 seconds left, however on the final two plays they went for the win (endzone).

I have a good feeling about our league`s performace in the "A" State Tournament which is a little less than three weeks away.

That we`ll have at least one team still standing Sunday morning in the A bracket if they bring that caliber of play again. I think quite few of our A bracket teams this year could make it to Sunday if they play to their full potential - I just saw it first hand last night from those two.

The offical did not rule a PI penality the first time around. the call was flag guarding and the Wolves players and sidelines was begging for a PI penality. I have never seen a pick "PI Penality" ever called in flag football and in the league.

Cudos to Jason for a great acting job laying on the ground crying that a penality should have been called.

It was tough to watch a good game change by one bad call by the officals.

The Wolves had TC 4th and 7 and TC completed a 10 yard pass for a first down, and then flag guarding allowed that player to score.

The offical never really explained the call and just set the ball down and all of a sudden the Wolves were snapping the ball.

Always hype themselves but haven`t won squat since Spring 09.

They would also like to thank Nunn for sucking and droping a wide open TD and Jermey for throwing a interception in the red zone. Mike you know that was a "penality." And with phrases like ...."sidelines was begging for a PI penality," I know it is you. Who is crying now.

That did happen once. However, Jeremy let Locs run them out of town. Now Wolves have 3 championships since and TC has ZERO. OOPS!!

Yes, TC flag guarded after a first down completion during the catch and run at about the 15 yard line going in to score. That shoulda wrapped it up. It would`ve made the score 21-10 TC with under 2 left. No flag was thrown for an "illegal pick", but a phantom flag came in after several seconds of Wolve whining. It`s also funny that 3-4 Wolves were IN the refs huddle while they were trying to decide what to call. If there wasn`t a flag guard they wouldn`t have been able to call anything because no flag came out until that point. Sad the refs determined the outcome, but they make terrible calls every game so can`t expect much more.

LOL you guys are starting to sound like the Spartans "refs robbed us they have been terrible all year wah wah wah". Ref said he did not throw his flag for the illegal pick because he thought the one the other ref threw for flag guarding was for the pick. Mystery solved. That`s why they huddled and no there was not any Wolves in the huddle but they asked which penalty the Wolves wanted. Sorry TC was not asked what they wanted to do because both penalties were on them. Only the TC players who didn`t actually see the pick say there was not a pick, go figure. And Jason of all players is going to take flop on the most important play of the game and leave his man wide open in hopes the refs will call a pick that would not be obvious to everyone within 100 yards, riighhhhhhttttttttt. Like I said you guys are sounding like the Spartans is that the rep you want?

it should go without saying on these boards, but as far as i know, this isn`t our dudes saying anything. as for the PI call, the refs did handle it a bit weird from the timing of the flag throw to the explanation to us, and i think that led to some of the controversy, but at the end of the day, i think they got the call right. we had other opportunities to win the game. it wasn`t decided by the refs.

i def think it`s somebody from your team. nobody goes in depth like that unless they care. besides wasn`t many people watching the game besides the players and tom. it`s ok Kyle, yes, TC complains (anonymously) like everybody else too.

Hard to believe it`s not someone from TC complaining. You really think "Spectator" and "Illegal pick I guess" are just flag football fans who came out to watch games on a Tuesday night? Here are some interesting nuggets...

First, look at the game detail (down, time, score, yardage) given by "Illegal pick I guess". You really think someone out there just watching the game has all of that detail?
Next, take a look at the schedule and click on the matchup history between these 2 teams. The 2 TC losses have by far and away the most comments either complaining about or giving a reason why they lost. Again, you really think someone out watching the game decided to come on the msg board and explain why TC lost? Last, take a look at the game with 7 comments on it. This "Spectator" character had something to say on that game as well...regarding a questionable PI penalty that was called against TC. Coincidence? Doubi it.

Could be wrong but it`s a good bet a TC player is posting something.
