06/25 : WEAPON XR wins B championship vs Bodysnatchers 19-18

WEAPON XR improves to 3-0 in the postseason, while Bodysnatchers exit at 2-1.

The victory continues a 4 game winning streak for WEAPON XR which now stands at 5 wins in a row.

The loss ended a 2 game winning streak for Bodysnatchers. This is the fewest points scored in a game this season by Bodysnatchers.This was the first meeting between these two teams.

And some people said we wouldn`t score. Some people said we were underdogs by 13.5 and 21.5.

BS dominated first half 18-7. Then lost steam towards the 2nd. XR scored 12 unanswered points. Good Game but in the end XR won. could have gone either way but in my opinion, BS underestimated XR. BS is a good team and their record shows their skill level. They will win a B championship soon. But this season belonged to XR. They just wanted it more in the end.

BS - started with the ball. Hit the flats on the 2nd play, took it to the 20, scored shortly afterwards. Went for 2 (failed) 6-0
XR - 1st play incomplete, 2nd play sacked, 3rd complete but not enough for 1st down, punted.
BS - another ball to the flats, made guys missed ran down to the 30, scored went for 2 (failed) 12-0
XR - Hit the middle of the field, catch and ran to BS 20 scored. Kicked extra point (good) 7-12
BS - Couple of short passes, deep down the center TD. Went for 2 (failed) 18-7
XR - Couple of short passes, deep post route, INT by BS. END OF HALF

XR - Slowly Drove down field scored. Went for 2 (failed) 13-18
BS - Drove to the 50, then INT.
XR - Slowly drove down field score. Went for 2 (failed)
BS - <2mins remaining, got to the 50. Dropped pass on 4 and 2 turn over on downs.

XR wins.

I completely agree, i think that BS is a fantastic team and you are right, I dont think they expected such a fight. Especially when scoring on three possession so easily.

THEY NEED TO FIND A FIELD GOAL KICKER WHEN THEY MOVE TO THE "A" LEAGUE!!

if the double-header they played Sunday (summer league) had anything to do with the lose...just saying

I doubt they would use that as an excuse. A lot of XR players had a 10pm game the night before.

not saying it`s an excuse, just wondering if it is a factor, not taking anything away from you guys XR45 (good win) however BS played 2 A level team on Sunday and from what I understand it was HOT out. BTW, will you boys be moving up to A next season?

when you say you played at 10pm the night before, was that Coed League?

The first 10 min or so of the game started the same as a typical Bodysnatchers 4+ score win.

Weapon XR scoring to come back within 5 (the first time) in the first half was huge.

After taking the lead 19-18, the game hit 2 minutes. Bodysnatchers had 2 minutes to put together a game winning drive (for the first time this season) but bogged down between the 40`s.

For the most part, Weapon XR did a good job of taking away the sidelines on defense. I also think their O-line did a great job, played a big factor in the outcome.

Its very difficult to go undefeated through both the regular season and the playoffs. There is always that potential stale game to get out of your system sooner rather than later, just so you remember its possible to lose.

A great season for both teams!

good game all the way around. they capitolized off of our mistakes and didn`t lose their composure. hats off to you guys.

oh and we did have a kicker during the season i guess he wasn`t able to make it or something. not sure... still no excuse.

according to the stats page, you guys were 6/6 PAT`s in 8 games. I`m sure you guys scored more than 6TD`s in those 8 games. If you guys had a kicker, that game would have gone to OT.

to take the loss like men, BS. A lot of people are expecting to hear excuses and whining. This shows signs of maturity since the Triple Crown fiasco. Keep making yourselves better and see you in the next seasons!

there was nothing to complain or whine about to me. the refs let us play not alot of penalties called. the TC game was nothing like this one at all.

Does Weapon x have to up to A now? I know everyone saying bs should be moving up too

but who moves down? I say bottom 2 of A move down so these 2 can move up. That will keep the league fresh and introduce some new blood in all the leagues.

A and A+ league would be solid

BS moves up to A, XR to B+. I sure hope there is a B+ in the fall as it is much needed.

Season should determine what Bodysnatchers do. They are capable of playing at the A level, but if they struggle during the summer, they should probably play B+ in the Fall. Hopefully a couple of A teams drop into B+ and a couple of B teams move up. Should be good competition for everyone.

XR wanted it more ?? uh no, that`s such an overrated excuse. They executed better and you not having a kicker ultimately cost you the game.

Too bad they already lost their first two games in the summer season and now they dont want to play Summer anymore...just saying.

I think them playing us and and another a team before there c-ship is b*** s*** there league should have finished 1st i even told my team that while we played them bs never really had a loss the tc game didnt finish so they still had a chance but 2 losses on sunday i could tell it hurt there swag n confidence just my opinion

BS12 - you too. Go recruit a kicker. Kickers determine the outcome of 50% of the games.

then why were they on the summer messageboard saying most of their team wasn`t there when they lost those 2 games? If most of their team wasn`t there on Sunday, how does that affect the B title game ??

A kicker for that game probably would have helped yes... them wanting it more no. they just made less mistakes than we did. the one mistake they made i think it was their QB who made the TD saving flag pull on the INT right before halftime. they didn`t miss many flags. take nothing away from Weapon X they earned it.
