The championship games are here! Before making any bets, let Miss Cleo be your guide. Here are your winners:
- Triple Crown/GameFace (AKA The Penetrators)
These two teams know each other well, having played each other 7 times since 2011 when The Pens/GF made the jump to A after winning the B state championship in 2010. GF has the edge in their overall series with 4 wins. The last time these two teams played in the A championship (2012 spring), GF won handily 27-7. However, TC is no stranger to success having won multiple Turkey Bowls, A championships, and finishing as the National Runner-up in 2011. This post season, TC played stiffer competition to get to the championship (beating 7pt and Collision)while GF beat a struggling team in Pain and the `Ditos. It`s been a while since GF played a top tier A team and Miss Cleo thinks that will be the difference here. TC wins 17-10.
-Hawks/Whoopdiddy
Who would have thought we would see #2 seed vs #8 seed in the championship (besides Miss Cleo, of course)?? WD find themselves competing for the `Ship in their 2nd FCFFL season; congrats to them for that. That said, they`ve been extremely inconsistent this year, winning only 3 games during the regular season. Whereas, the Hawks have not lost since early April, including a tough win vs AR in the Semi`s. In both of the Hawks losses this year, there was Heavy pressure on their QB just about every play. If WD can manage to put relentless pressure on the Hawks QB, they will win. However, the Hawks are the more experienced team here, including previous experience playing in a B post season championship. Miss Cleo thinks the Hawks are the more reliable team here. Hawks win 21-14
- No Names/Nemesis
Let`s start off congratulating No Names on a great 1st season. They controlled C league with an undefeated season (though one tie w/ AP). They handily won the first match-up against Nemesis 17-3. In that game, #98 for NN had a career type of day, recording 6 sacks including a safety. Nemesis - you might want to block this guy this time around? The good news for Nemesis is they have the #1 rated QB in C league so if you give him time to throw, he should be able to make some plays. All things considered, look for No Names to win the `ship and move up to B/B+ league next season. NN 17-7

Yes. Thankfully, Mr Cleo makes enough money that I can continue to do this! Miss Cleo just didn`t have the heart to pick WD to win as the #8 seed. I`m glad WD proved me wrong. The GF/TC game was a toss-up. Perhaps a slight edge to GF, but still a toss up.

Hmm, I see. Very polite of you to offer that, but no thank you. Despite how things work in your life, the tossing of balls, and other things, will not carry over to Miss Cleo. Good luck with your search for a ball tosser. I hear there`s a "tickle monster" that can help you out. |
