I want to start by apologizing. I’ve let you all down by allowing what was once a great, active and competitive league, to slowly dwindle from 40 to 60 teams every season to where we are now. There are multitudes of reasons for why I have failed and I could list them all, but it mainly comes down to taking this community for granted. I took for granted that the core teams would always want to play here. I took for granted that we had a community that would continue to play in this league no matter what. That was a mistake that I will never allow to happen again. I won’t pretend to know that I have all the answers and I won’t pretend that I can make everyone happy again, but I do know that I will try. I do know that I will take steps to make sure that this never happens again.

One of the first steps I’m taking is to send out a survey to our community. I know that people in general are not big fans of surveys, but believe me when I say I’m going to read and take seriously every response that we get. I’m asking you all to please consider responding, candidly and honestly. The results of that survey will be one of the cornerstones of the changes that we’ll make as a part of building our league into something great again.

The other major step I want to take is to ensure that this becomes a league for the players and run by the players. I’ve talked for a long time about establishing a Board of Directors to help run the league. Beginning now, I’m going to make it real. I’m opening up a call for anyone who wants to participate to volunteer. The plan will be to meet monthly, starting in April, to discuss and decide on the direction our league will go in. I got involved in helping to run this league because I loved playing in it and wanted to help keep it great. I failed at that and again, I can’t express how sorry I am that I’ve taken this community for granted but I will work tirelessly to make this league what it once was again. A fun, competitive league where everyone knows each other and we get together to play a game we all love!
