;
If a ball is batted by the defense and an offensive player holds the defensive player so he does not intercept - there is a flag on the offense. But if the defense goes to intercept or does intercept a pass and the offense tackles him , there is not flag. What is the exact rule on this ? By the events stated above - it seems tackling a player is allowed to break up a possible INT , but holding a player or pushing a player is not. this would be good to know going into playoffs and states

there should be a flag on the offense for the tackle but since the defense intercepted the ball, they will decline the penalty and take the ball.

well, which hand was the ball batted with? left hand or right hand? or both? or neither?

also, you obviously need to let us know which sideline this was closer to and how many players had shown up for the next game at this point.

nope

not bitter , not complaining or claiming a missed call. Don`t have time for that mess. In tackle it is obvious the offensive player can take out the defender in case of a batted ball . Just want clarification for flag.
