A much larger tournament this year, being run by some of our league officials:

IFFL/Maryland

Is hosting two divisions 8 team single elimination tournament in Maryland. This tournament will have top prizes for both divisions which will be a paid entry fee into the (VFFA) VA State Tournament this December in Fairfax VA.. This 88 plus team tournament is one of the primer tournament around and its coming to our back yard again. This A/B+ & B/C divisions tournament is a great opportunity to get teams ready for state tournament and also gives teams a chance to have the entry fee paid for….

Entry Fee: $260 per team (slots are going fast)

Deadline for Registration: November 14, 2011

Location: Tucker Road Park and Recreation (directly across the bridge)

Date: November 20, 2011

Time: 8:00 am until

Prizes: Top prize Entry fee paid to VA States Tournament for A/B+ and B/C divisions Also ,2nd,3rd Place Trophies (Both Divisions)

;	Shay will have his hands full as the State Tournament Director in a few weeks, and the work has already started for that + the IFFL semis and championships are now the same day (as noted above) which is why he`s not running the traditional Sunday-before Turkey Bowl. I would encourage teams who are not participating in the IFFL playoffs to play in this one. For one, its not a long drive at all on a Sunday, in fact its probably closer for some that live in the East or South part of the county than Reston. If there are teams that cannot participate but had planned to (i.e. IFFL teams playing 11/20) we might do a mini 4-team tourney MON & TUE during that week - but that`s it, and no State tournament entries will be at stake.

;	FYI. ONLY TEAMS FROM VFFA MEMBER LEAGUES MAY PLAY IN THE VFFA STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS. SO FAR, WE HAVE 32 LEAGUES AND 120 ELIGIBLE TEAMS. FURTHERMORE, NEITHER THE IFFL, FCFFL, NOR ANY OTHER VIRGINIA FLAG LEAGUES HAVE REGISTERED ANY "C" LEAGUES AS MEMBERS. TEAMS FROM NON-REGISTERED, NON-MEMBER LEAGUES ARE INELIGIBLE TO PARTICIPATE. FINALLY, THE STATE TOURNAMENT TEAM ENTRY FEE IS $200. - RCJ
